I Bought this 90 250ES with the motor still in the crate, It was a 454 stroked to a 496 and was a full roller motor. I bolted on all the externals from the previous motor put it in, put on the freshly rebuilt outdrive and primed the motor and timed it. idle to 2000 rpm it runs fine, over 2000 rpm you get a nasty vibration. I have a few other details to be worked out yet, the water pump on the front bottom passenger side of the boat seems to not be pumping fully, ex: theres not alot of water coming out of the thru hull exhaust. Question is What can the vibration be? Also were can i find the water pump at for a decent price?
