How do i change engine coupler

have a 97 baja islander 4.3 alpha 1 outdrive.i am pretty sure the engine coupler went away .motor throttles up but prop barely spins.my question, i know i have to remove the outdrive but can i get the coupler out once i do or will i need to pull the motor.

You really should place this in the mercruiser section. Although your boat is a Baja, the motor and outdrive are regular mercruiser parts.
