the boat has been in to several shops, suspecting fuel issue. fuel pump has been replaced, fuel additives to take out ecess water, fuel filter has been checked and displayed contaminets, but no water. the fuel rail has been checked told it might be vapor locking and depressurize the rail with the schrader valve in front.
in example, put boat in started drove 10 mins and parked, next day came out started and drove with constant rpm 3000 for over 30 mins, then slowed down to idle through no wake zone and when advancing throttle eng spudered and died unable to start again pulled in, suspected bad gas, had just put in 10 gals from marina added to gas with stable in it from last year approx 10 gals.
at the dock after being pulled in and sitting over night, added 5 gals of 93 oct with a mix of 3 red heet bottles to remove moisture and water, and ethnol reducer stable fuel dditive along with sea foam. was able to get it started and idle for 10 mins to allow the fuel to get to the engine. took it out and it ran for about 4 mins at varios speeds and then died unable to start again pulled in., pulled fuel filter and saw contaminets but no water.
several years ago 4 years, the boat was partially filled with water due to not installing drain p;ug before launch, after this the engine started to act up, all accessories where replaced, not sure if water got in the fuel tank and rust has begun with particles rusting off now and flowing and blocking fuel flow, possible out port inside fuel tank is becoming blocked. any suggestions.?? and if we need to remove the fuel tank, how hard and what can we expect, looks like must cut acess hole in floor to remove tank. thanks bob

Pull your coil and test it with an ohm meter against the factory specs or just buy a new one and toss it in... Bad coils can do exactly what you are describing once they are warm/hot.....

Check the easy stuff first before moving on....

Good luck!
