I recently purchased an Avon Supersport S4-00. I have 2 areas that need repair .
1. where the hypalon hull meets the wood transom, there is an overlapping seam on the inside and the outside of the hull that attaches to the wood transom. The outer seam is strong and intact but the inner seam has come loose.
(I can send pics to anyone that would like to see details)
I have found some good info on what to do, but not sure on what is the best glue for hypalon to wood. Any tips?
2. The hypalon hull material has a tear, it is about 2 feet fron the transom and about 4" away from the inflatable keel. I would guess it's just a matter of glueing a patch over the tear. I was planning to patch both sides, but would the patch on the outside of the hull just end up peeling off due to the force of the water being pushed over it?
thanks!
