I am the original owner of a 1998 Alumacraft 175 CS Tournament Pro with only 97 hours on it.
I keep this boat inside my warehouse when not in use, so weather is not a cause.

I have replaced the rear livewell water intake valve twice already because it cracks at the fitting on the intake side where the hose connects to the valve, which allows water to leak into the bilge. Well, it has cracked again in the same location as the first two valves. All replacement valves have been Alumacraft parts.

Additionally, I have replaced the forward valve for the front livewell for the same reason.

Due to limited access to the aft bilge area, I will now have to remove the livewell, which is rivited into the boat, in order to get better access to the plumbing. Hopefully I can figure out a better way to connect a valve that won't crack.

Is there a better system that Alumacraft has developed other than the plastic valves that keep failing?
Has anyone experienced the same issue with livewell valves?
