Back flowinto my livewell.

I have a 2007 Alumacraft Trophy 175 with a Mercury 115HP Optimax. At different times I have water flow through the scoop valve into the back livewell through the overflow. I have had the dealer replace the scoop valve and they say it never does it when they have tested it. Has anyone else had this problem and do you have think it could be the prop? I have checked the Mercury website and it is a recommended prop. I like to use this livewell as a cooler and I am thinking of putting a shutoff vale in the drain line.

Any info would be appreciated.

I have had a similar water flow problem with the live wells on my MV17 bandit when fishing broadside in the current of a river. I just went to a hardware store and bought a few corks of the right size and put them on a piece of braded fishing line and pluged the overflow after removing the screen in it. Has kept the water out so far.
