Yeah, we sat at the dock long enough to be sure there wasn't water pouring in anywhere. We were out for a little over an hour and didn't take on enough water for the bilge to pump it. On a Sunday afternoon, at 100 degrees F, the traffic on the north...

  • There was one here, maybe not a Jup but it was a small hull.

Might have been in the restore section.

One of the issues was the walk around space at the console.

Would say it is definitely pre 58. My guess would be early 50's.

Looks to be in great shape. Have fun with it....

I cant get to both sides....the interior is mint and I really would like to avoid taking it apart which I am sure would be quite a job...floors out...floatation foam etc.

Those that have done this from the outside with blind/sealed rivets..how...

  • That does help, I suppose as long as I can seal it well I can do an outside mount. Do you have any interference in the signal while in motion with that mounting location? Thanks Ray.

For pics, select the icon (Image) which looks like "two mountains and the sun". Then select the up load. If pic is to large (1M) then it won't take it. You just wait for the upload link to vanish.

replied to Need Help With Boat Wiring Please
It looks like a lot of the wires were routed under the floor whenever the floor was re-done, which makes tracing those wires nearly impossible. I actually considered uninstalling the things that don't work so I can install them correctly and make a wiring...

Yeah that's a car carb you have there it looks like to me.

If you're wanting to upgrade from the 60's I would agree that it's a good idea. I would look for a donor with a 4.3L MC V6 in the Alpha one era of the late 80s on. You won;t be disappointed...

replacing back seat on glastron 1995 question on foam

I am replacing the back seat of 1995 glastron. Those with the seats that cover the cooler make sure you open the seats and get the water out when done. Over the years the water has evaporated into the wood of the seat. So I decided to replace bench style...

  • War Eagle Blackhawk 2170 factory transducer bracket problem complaint help please!

Just took delivery on a new 2015 War Eagle Blackhawk 2170, absolutely love the boat except after reaching plane and passing 18 mph the sonar pic shows mush; slow down to trolling speeds and the pic goes back to normal. The transducer is mounted to a...

Great lakes skipper is offering those switches up on Ebay, there's no current auction so maybe give them a call and ask if they have them in stock.

  • Here are the pitctures. As i was saying the gap between the windows is to large for a traditional turn lock style that i have seen. Ignore the window sagging. The frame is loose, i tried tightening it, but it didnt budge.

replied to 1978 Starcraft Chieftain... Wish me luck.
You don't have to worry about anything not mating up due to ply thickness on your Chief. 3/4" is overkill in my book for your decking. It came factory with 1/2" marine grade. I put 1/2" decking in marine grade throughout my Chief and added...

Howdy fellow boaters. We recently bought a 8000 BTU LG portable unit for our 1989 Prestancia. Looking for any tips to create a temporary as in removable mount for the exhaust of the unit through one of the side vent windows. Any one had any luck?
