I'd put in new foam before you install the floor.
The Falcon is rated to 40HP.

i know it not the same boat but my 21 chief goes 5 mph in the ocean with my 15hp (2001) 2 stroke johnson, that is with a 4 blade shallow pitch prop running 4,500 rpms. A 25hp 1995 johonson with factory prop only pushed the boat 7 mph in the ocean....

Yeah, I'm also not comfortable with it just being held down by the welded tabs, so I will fashion some sort of strap mount for it. Likely just 2 aluminum straps bent to fit the tank and lag bolted into the deck....

    Switch for Dual Fuel Tanks

I just purchased a 2002 Larson Cabrio 310 and it seems to be drawing fuel only from the port fuel tank. Is there a switch to select both tanks somewhere? Maybe I have a fuel pump issue if there is not a switch. I recall the generator works off the starboard...

    Silenced the Ski Locker Door

I discovered that the ski locker door in the floor on my Q5i was responsible for a lot of the noise when running on choppy water, etc. I silenced the "slapping" noise by using pieces of small rubber weather strip (from Lowes). After cutting...

Using Photobucket is the most reliable way right now. Pasting the PB IMG Code into your message gives a nice sized pic.

Nope that should not be to many. I believe the max is 50 PM's before the system notifies you. It should notify you while your trying to send one out to someone....

kinda sorta. i made a couple of mistakes out in that i think. one of which was not having my hardtop closed. it was open 8'' or so. i should have had it closed. a couple of other things i'd have done different would have been to maybe speed up just a...

    I found this -> http://www.wellcraft.com/resources/information

It has specs for many Wellcraft boats. It tells me that mine has a 30 gallon tank, which is what I was assuming.

I, too, didn't get much lake time this summer.
-First outing was July 5th. Wonderful weather, surprisingly cool and clear for around here. (see my post with pics)
-Second outing was August 22, a short run for GPS speed testing the 23 pitch...

Carver Riviera question - need help, possible salt water problems?

Looking at purchasing a 1986 Carver Riviera with twin V8's that has been used in salt water. I am a fresh water person, and that is where the boat is going. I am told the Riviera has an enclosed anti-freeze filled cooling system for the motors. Is any...

You may want to mount a quick release to remove the troll motor when not in use for security reasons or when using boat for water sports.

Great progress on the teardown! The port-side kiddo looks very concerned...whereas the starboard side kiddo sees the potential!

Can you get a zoomed-in shot on the metal bracing under the floor ribs (aka spray-rail brace)?

    Hopefully...
