Meh, could've been the tide if it's saltwater. Could be flood control and dam releases if it's fresh water.... could be a drought.

Saltwater. I saw her come in and stop dead. She must have hit bottom. This was right around high tide. Then the tide went out. It's harf to see in the picture but she is completely out of the water.

Looking at the pic, I'd modify the title to "When depth = zero, you're aground". :)

That's how we cleaned the boats bottom in De.
Had a 40ft sailboat and would take it up the Broadkill River.
Wait for the tide to go out and clean the hull on one side.
Then wait for the next tide to do the other side.

seems to happen twice a day in these parts!;)

Looks like around DIGBY, Bay of Fundy, Canada. Tide changes in the tens of feet. Have been to Annapolis Royal, NS. and observed several times. [h=1][/h]
