Traditional Communication cable for the most part is lashed to a steel support messenger between poles. When I place the steel messenger cable and bring it up to tension and hit it with my wrench there is a wave that goes from one pole to the next and back, The tighter I pull up or add more tension the wave moves faster between poles.
