Can some one explain this to me??????????????????

I have been trying to get my Tohatsu running for 2 days now and finally got it going, but I had to really pump the bulb and finally, and a darn bug came flying out of the fuel line, how in the hell does a bug get into a closed fuel line!!!!

Boy the water impeller is not cheap for this motor! I got lucky and found two complete water pump rebuild kits, so I bought them both, but man! Yikes!

From a original Tohatsu fuel tank impossible, the pick up connector has a small mesh filter located at lower end that won't allow a small bug pass by dead or alive. Only dust can pass through. In God's world, strange things can happen.
