Is anyone using I-Drive for online backup? Online backup seems like a good idea and I-Drive seems like a good provider, especially when you have multiple computers in the home.

I have heard that a lot of people like Carbonite, I am not familiar with I-Drive, our computers here at home are backed up on a local 5 disk raid I set up and then I back the raid up on one of my servers. One nice thing is, my servers are backed up nightly by the company I house them with, so I have a pretty redundant system..

In home I would suggest a nightly (auto) OS full backup to an external HDD. Then you have total control of your backup.

I like Carbonite. I have it setup on some of my customers servers. We run a raid array on them also. The problem having just an external hard drive backup is that if there is a flood or fire it will take out both the computer and your backup drive. Carbonite is pretty cheap and unlimited disk space. Most of the others are a pay by space setup.
