GE Breaker box and SquareD HOM breakers?

Will Square D HOM breakers work in a GE CTL breaker box? They appear to have the same design.

I'm adding a circuit and the local store had Regular SqD and HOM SqD, and the HOM looks like it is made to fit.

Some breakers will interchange with different panel makers....Although its not designed for it....If you do it, make sure everything matches, and that the latches on the ends look the same.


Your not supposed to do it, but it does happen.
