Does an unopened quart of motor oil go bad with time?

I keep a "new" quart of oil with my generator for emergencies. I went out today and changed the oil using that unopened quart of Napa 10-30 oil. Only after pouring it in did I see the date of purchase that I wrote on it. It was 2013. Will it be bad to use? I haven't actually ever used that generator though my son in law borrows it occasionally. I will go out today and replace my emergency quart but I just didn't know if it was necessary to change the oil again.

No, oil that has not been opened does not go bad, the additives they put in it won't separate, there is no expiration date on motor oil.
