Eskimo Ice Auger 2 stroke question

anyone familer with two stroke ice auger motors? pretty much the same as a grass trimmer. got one used maybe three years old. starts fine but wants to die out the faster it goes unless you keep priming it. I got it to run full speed went my buddy noticed bubbles coming out of the fuel line in the gas tank...any ideas whats wrong?

clean the carb and replace the fuel lines

dirt in the carb and at least one of the lines is sucking air

+1 on dirt and fuel lines. The fuel lines get hard and brittle with minute cracks.
