What up with the message alert at the top of the page? I'll go into it and read the topics and then delete the notification back to 0. an hour later I'll come back and there will be a count in the box, enter and the same messages that I already read and deleted will be back there with no new posts? This has been happening for about a week now.

Same thing for email notifications that I'll get an email for a post sometimes 5 hours after I've already read the last one? Others I get no email about at all!

Not sure what's going on there bonz. I know some of the email notifications have been kinda' kitschy. But I don't know why you can't delete your notifications. I'll add this to a discussion we have going on behind the scenes.

Just making aware. When I go to messages I read each one then using the back button after each one when I finish I go back to the message page and delete all. Then use HOME and back to the forum. From there it shows no new message yet when I come back a little later it will show new messages. So when I go in to check them a lot of times they are ones I've already read and deleted with no new posts added.

I can understand the email delay but this with the message box has to be internal to the site, no?

Pretty much ... the IT dudes are chalking the "crazy" up to VB, which makes sense all around. There are a couple of wierdities that aren't even consistent enough to figure out. It might be something we wait to see if it gets solved in a new upgrade ... which won't happen while we're in the busy boating season.

Again, not a problem. Just a heads up. Anyone else notice this?

A couple of members have mentioned similar, but not the exact same issue. The MODs have a topic going on it, and IT has been lookin' at it. It's been kind of an oscillating problem.
