Top two cylinders have no fire. Stator replaced last year. Ran fine since last stator replacement but dropped top two cylinders yesterday. Carburation is OK, just replaced plugs. Ordinarily I'd take this to a mechanic but where I'm at, it's the peak of boat season and would be in the shop for weeks. so I'm going to have to attempt repairs myself. Engine is remarkably clean and low hours even for its age. I'm Familiar with OMC ignition systems up till the early 90s but Mercs have always been a mystery to me. Charging / voltage regulator working fine but a bit on the high side. 18V at cruising speed but could be the gauge.
