I replaced water pump now I dont have neutral or forward. I know the shaft splines need to be aligned but unaware how to do this. any info on this procedure would be greatly appreciated
When you say shaft splines, do you mean the drive shaft going into to power head, if you torqued the lower unit on already the shaft splines have to be in the power head.
Now if the motor won't go into neutral or forward it's the shift shaft that needs to be put back together like you removed it, did you reconnect the shift shaft just like you removed it, did you adjust the shifter cables
