I'm notified via email with all private and other postings, which is good. Have found that if I don't delete the message center notification posting, I no longer notified of another posting to the thread after reading it.

Yeah you have to delete the notification after receiving it. I think the new versions of VB have fixed this to automatically clear the notification once you click the link to view the topic.
