^^^ Like that one a lot. My Great Grandpa taught me to fish ... my kids fish with their grandpa more than anyone else.

They have torn down the 1940's efficiency unit motel units and replaced them with yurts (how 'cool' and 'trendy' and 'hip') Grampa used to take me here every summer. He only took dad once when he was a kid. Dad told me he hated it. I loved it. And LOTS of fish, mostly yellow perch and bullhead cats (both good eats) we did get the occasional lake trout.

AU SABLE Lake in Michigan: family still has a cottage up there. Fished it with my Great Grandpa, sailed it with my Grandpa - skied, fished, skated and the Good Lord knows what else with my Mom, Dad and Brother. Passin' as much on to my kids as I can from 700 miles away.

I'd almost offer, but between my brother, my parents and my uncle, the place is typically full up.

It is a great place. I'm not planning to try, but I think I could boat that lake blindfolded ...

yeah last years in school we lived on a 100 acre private lake and I spent more time on that thing I knew it well. Side note the house dad had built in 1982 was $124k and it just sold for a bit north of a million.

anyway......
