Next week is going to be a zoo, there is going to be punches thrown all day long, on the track and I would not be surprised if it happens off the track as well.
You'd think anyone with a face as eminently punchable as Keso's would stay out of the limelight.

I think it would be funny and interesting if a non-contender won each of the remaining races.

Thanks. Went OK, did slightly better here. I gained 15 points on the leader over there. Down to 40 point deficit in 2nd place, so I've got a good chance and it's pretty exciting watching the points during the race.

Yep - QC has the :first: trophy to tease aspeck with after the final restart and other events scrambled the field, allowing QC to pull a slide job on aspeck. :D Congrats QC.

64 now has close to a 500 point lead over Cowboy in the overall standings. We'll see what happens at Talladega. Things can change quickly in a plate race.

Still no word on actions against Hamlin, Keso, Kenseth or Stewart. An article on on Nascar.com says there is no precedent for suspensions and other than fines/points deducts/probation for on-track Cup incidents, no suspensions have been handed out. The Twerp, Harvick and Robby Gordon were parked for Cup races following actions in Truck and Nationwide/Busch races a few years ago. Also Jimmy Spenser was parked for a week following his punch to the nose of the senior Busch at the end of a Cup race. Yea Jimmy!

Apparently, nothing for behind the wall shenanigans..........
  • NASCAR issues penalties for Charlotte post-race: NASCAR has assessed behavioral penalties to drivers #2-Brad Keselowski and #14-Tony Stewart for their involvement in post-race incidents on Oct. 11 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Keselowski has been fined $50,000 and placed on NASCAR probation for the next four NASCAR Sprint Cup Series championship events through Nov. 12 for violating:
" Section 12-1: Actions detrimental to stock car racing
" Section 12-4.9: Behavioral penalty -- involved in post-race incidents
Stewart has been fined $25,000 and placed on NASCAR probation for the next four NASCAR Sprint Cup Series championship events through Nov. 12 for violating:
" Section 12-1: Actions detrimental to stock car racing
    " Section 12-4.9: Behavioral penalty -- involved in a post-race incident
"These penalties are about maintaining a safe environment following the race," said Robin Pemberton, NASCAR senior vice president, competition and racing development. "We knew that the new Chase format was likely going to raise the intensity level and we want our drivers to continue to be themselves. However, the safety of our drivers, crew members, officials, and workers is paramount and we will react when that safety could be compromised."(NASCAR)(10-14-2014)

What a cop out! Seeing what Keso did was certainly a safety issue, both with Kenseth and his burnout through the garage.

Sure will because Nascar has said all is fair in love and war and the Chase.

Well they have been looking for ways to put butts in the seats, they might be on to something, at least until someone gets hurt or killed.

We'll see if the TV ratings go up. The 1979 Daytona 500 brewhaha was the start of Nascar emerging from it's Southern roots.

Yes, those were my thoughts from the day one. He just has that "look". Unfortunately his actions match that face.
