Last weekend at Dover the first four drivers were eliminated from the 2014 Chase, KU Busch, Almirola, Biffle and The Dinger are now racing the final seven races for pride. Moving on into the Contender round of the Chase are Keso, Logano, Harvick, Johnson, Gordon, The Twerp, Jr., Kenseth, Newman, Edwards, Hamlin and Kahne. The Contender round consists of Kansas, Charlotte and Talladega, once again dropping the the four lowest in points. The 12 Chasers are beginning this stage with their points reset to 3000, so they are all at Ground Zero. Nothing transfers over point-wise, they are all even-steven. Any Chaser winning a round race advances automatically to the third stage, the Eliminator round.

In the News
  • Michael Waltrip is still in Dancing With The Stars. He has made it through the first three rounds. Whoda thunk! I guess he's a Contender!
  • Clint Bowyer is a Daddy. His first kiddo was born on 10/1, A boy - Cash Aaron Bowyer. No, I'm not posting a pic!
  • Seven of the Chase drivers are in the Top Ten in driver ratings at Kansas. - #48, #20, #24, #4, #99, #5 and #88.

Fantasy Live
Dover gave 64osby another weekly win and the golden goodie :first: for the mantle. He also added to his overall standings, now leading by 228.5. With seven races to go, how will this play out? Stay tuned. :D

Breaking News
Since 64's Admiral put the kibosh on hauling Dorothy and Toto to Kansas, Dale Jr. stepped up and offered to bring D & T home to Kansas on his personal jet. No wonder he's the reigning Most Popular Driver. Atta Boy, Dale. :eagerness:

Late Breaking News
Dale Jr. did it again. :faint: Just like back in June when he was giving a plane ride to Newman and left him behind, he stiffed Dorothy and Toto. He took off without them. It's all up to the Tin Man, Scarecrow and the Cowardly Lion. Don't let her down, boys!

Looking at the chase battle grid - the only one I missed was Kurt Busch. It says i'm at 6%.

I think all the grid games are messed up, 64. I'm logged in for FL and I have to log in again for the games. as well!

I missed 2 and it says I am in 2nd place and at 6%. However, your points multiply by 4 if you have the driver in the right order. Guess I didn't realize that ... Had 2 in the proper order. Took a little more care in ordering them this time. I see the leader of the entire game has something like 90 points!

Kansas qualifying is over and #14 Happy Harvick snagged his 8th pole of the year, setting a new track record in the process. The 3rd session results - #55-Vickers is on the outside pole followed by #43-Almirola, #22-Logano, #24-Gordon. #2-Keselowski, #18-Busch, #88-Earnhardt Jr., #14-Stewart, #5-Kahne, #16-Biffle and #99-Edwards.

That accounts for eight of the Chasers, the other 4 are #31 Newman is 17th, #15 Hamlin is 25th, #@) Kenseth is 27th and bringing up the the rear (almost) is #48 Johnson 32nd.

As soon as they start talking about the lack of cautions - Boom, boom, two is just a few laps. I don't know how Biffle saved his sideways move. And here's caution # 3 - JJ banged the 48 up after Gordon & Jamie Mc brushed together toward the front.

Jr way ahead and now headed to the garage. Into the wall with right front blown.

Didn't think the race started yet. I was seeing another one on the guide that starts at 3. I thought that one was Cup. O'well, the Bears/Carolina game has been good...

Just took at look at the race. Man the top chase guys are getting smoked.

Will Larson get his first victory?

Edit - WooHoo - Way to go Joey! I'm so glad I dropped Keso this week.

Larson had a great run.

Naw, Larson came in second behind Logano. Joey punched his ticket to the third play-off round.

But 64 smoked 'em. Came in 2nd barely behind cjm31 for the race, but piled more than 150 points onto his overall lead. All unofishul, of course.

Man, I came so close to dumping JJ for Joey ... Would have been a good day if I did that!

I checked earlier this afternoon. Not then, but now it is.

cjm31 is lugging the :first: home for the mantle. And yes - 64 is now leading the iboats FL league by 391 points, an increase of 163 in one race. Impressive!

Off to Charlotte for race #2 in the Contender round with Logano as the early leader.
