I hope to have the same story with my kids someday. I was just given my grandfather's 1969 Silverline DeVille with the original Merc 1000 OB. My aunts and uncles learned to waterski behind this boat and I grew up fishing in it. No one seemed interested in it after grandpa passed away nearly two years ago. Grandma wanted it out of the shed so I stated that I would love to take my kids fishing and skiing with it. She handed it over and told me to take all the water toys with it. I have a bunch of skis, a tow rope, and a couple of mint-condition sponge rubber ski jackets. Talk about a blast from the past! Doesn't quite have the same lines as that old Glastron, but this is still a fun boat. We took it out last week and popped up on the kneeboard just the same as our previous boats. This one is gonna stay with me awhile.....
