http://6abc.com/204443/ High School classmate/team mates kid brother ... Prayers for the Biddle family. This family has a long history of boating ... Father, grandfather, etc. Unsure of what happened and waiting for investigation to be completed before making any comments. Just don't get sloppy on the water, it only takes a second!

Now the rumor mill is churning ... say he had 2 arrest warrants issued for him ... looking at it as a disappearance and emphasizing that he is missing. Hmmm ... still be careful out there. We had our third confirmed drowning this year on Raystown yesterday. A 13 month old. Crawled out of the cabin of the boat at 8 am undetected and to the edge of the deck and overboard. So sad.

An Egg Harbor Township man reported missing after his pontoon boat hit rocks in Longport is believed to have staged the incident, according to a police flier. Andrew Biddle, 45, and his employer are accused in several cases of theft after they allegedly took boats in trade then resold them without paying off the loans. Biddle has been indicted on three counts of theft by deception and has three other cases pending grand jury presentation, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office. Neither Biddle's attorney nor the one for co-defendant Tracy Blumenstein would comment on the case. "This is the first I've heard of it," Biddle's attorney, Mark Roddy, said when asked about the allegations. Biddle — a boat-racing champion — was reported missing July 20, after a pontoon boat hit the rocks near the bay on 11th Avenue. Justin Belz, 23, swam ashore and called police, telling them Biddle had also been on the boat. But, according to a flier circulated among law enforcement, Biddle is believed to have staged the incident. “It is believed Biddle is alive and well and on the run,” the flier states. In response to the flier becoming public, Egg Harbor Township police released a statement pertaining to the possibility Biddle fled. "This scenario must be considered, and the Egg Harbor Township Police Department’s Detective Bureau is obligated to investigate and prosecute Mr. Biddle for the aforementioned criminal acts until Mr. Biddle’s whereabouts are officially determined," it read. Meanwhile, the State Police search for Biddle in relation to the accident is ongoing, Capt. Steve Jones said. There are no charges against Belz at this time. Bail for Biddle is not currently set. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Egg Harbor Township police at 609-926-4051. http://m.pressofatlanticcity.com/ne...f14-19aa-11e4-bd32-0019bb2963f4.html?mode=jqm

A tangled web, for sure.

Since when is bail set for someone not in custody?

I sometimes wonder what happened to newspaper editors. Perry White or J. Jonah Jameson would never let that print.

Home town boy from a well to do family had issues in our area ... ran from the law, got caught, served time, went to Jersey to do his thing there. Guess it all caught up to him. So sad. Has connections all around the world because of his power boat racing and his extended family has spent a lot of time in the Caribbean... Between this story, the ladies fighting with deer mounts, 30 plus people being arrested for drug trafficking, and the news from the other day about a cow hitting a car on the passenger side and rolling it over ... been a banner news couple of weeks for our area ...

Yep, you can hope, but don't hold your breath. You know how sticky rumors can be, but the rumor mill says the police were closing in on his location. Don't know.
