For history buffs, patriots, and old sailing ship lovers, a little announcement;

The U.S.S. Constitution, A.K.A. "Old Ironsides", the navy's oldest commissioned war ship, will be sailing from Boston Harbor this Sunday (8/19/12). The sail is to commemorate the 200th anniversary of her capture of the British frigate HMS Guerriere, in the war of 1812.

Her last time sailing was in 1997, to Marblehead after her restoration to celebrate her 200th birthday.

I'll hope to catch that on the News. I toured that ship back in '64. You could just feel the history aboard her!

That's awesome. Every time I go to Boston I take the tour, and last year they were talking about this. You wouldn't believe how close she came to being skuttled!
