Jump on the sailing season, Canadian style

We still are plagued by "hard water" up here for another month.
But when the stars and planets all align, and we have bare ice and a decent wind....the DN gets dragged out, assembled, and taken for a spin. Last time was 3 years ago
Clocked at 50+ MPH yesterday over a 1/2 mile stretch, and when you are 12" off the ice it seems like a 100MPH.

And you didn't even use a drop of gas That is what I call a great green machine Looks like tons of fun. I need to put that on my bucket list of things to do

I agree, they do look like tons of fun. I've seen ice-boats on TV a few times and thought they wee a brilliant idea. Now that I'm "old" and not so willing to risk a few broken bones, however, I'm so not sure that I'm that brave!
