We are 1/2 way to an 80.5% eclipse here in the eastern panhandle of WV....

Headed to work 2nd shift in just over an hour, so I'll be able to 'see' it as eclipsed as it'll get, IF the cloud cover breaks.... currently getting less then 5min of sun and @15min of cloud cover.... so we'll see...

Have a great eclipse, where ever you are......

Looked through glasses as it went to 97% here. It darkened but not as dark like they showed on TV where it was 100%.

The coolest thing was looking on the ground at shadows from tree leaves. Dozens of eclipse images on the side walk. Gotta get some shadow pics uploaded from the tablet.

I was driving home from the big city when the eclipse started. Been mostly cloudy all day but the sun would peek out at times. I had my eclipse glasses with me and when I finally got to a hole in the clouds, I pulled over and had a look. Awesome stuff!

Got home just before max for us. Taped my glasses to my cell phone camera and took some pix! But then the big dark clouds rolled in and now it's raining. Dang it!

We're within the path of totality - put the boat in and ran up to the north end of the lake and found a place to anchor.

Couldn't shoot a good photo of the aura from the boat, but it went dark on the water for about 2 minutes.

Was pretty cool to see sunset/sunrise in all directions.

We had the funny glasses so we could watch the moon cross the sun. Pretty cool stuff.

Thanks avenger - but honestly, it doesn't do it justice. It was pretty amazing; even the twilight.

I had one, got lost down low.

We were totally clear, 1/4 mile of the centerline of totality, on the water, few boats, drinking and eating hot dogs.

I did a quick forum search and probably misspeeled "ecpilse", Joe. :playful: But I remember your thread now.

Musky - I was wrong about you. You aren't the down to Earth guy I thought you were. LOL
