Racing this week at Kansas with Trucks on Friday night followed by Cup the next evening. After a string of Sunday racing on Fox, Kansas will be shown on FS1 - I'm not even sure if I can get FS1 anymore. :blue: A little late on this report - Trucks had 2 practices today. From MRN, the schedule;
40 teams are on the entry list, so all will racing in the 11th Cup race of 2017. Weather is forecast to be decent with a very minor chance of rain.

- The big news is 4th place finisher at Dega flunking inspection after the race. Weight and Lasers got Aric Almirola. The Crew Chief is donating $65K to Nascar and will miss the next three races, as well as Almirola losing 35 driver points and Petty is dinged 35 owner points. According to RPM, no appeal, unlike;
- Penske/Keso finally lost their final appeal for the same inspection failure. This has been going on since the March race at Phoenix.
- Following Ricky Stenhouse winning his 1st Cup race at Talladega, his father tried to get to Victory Lane. The only problem is he was watching from an RV outside of the track in the Dega Alabama Gang Superstretch RV park. He tried to climb the fence and was picked up by security, thankfully doing the right thing, they escorted Sr. to the festivities.
- Carl Edwards may not be driving a Cup car, but he is still hauling the mail. He set a record for the fastest SUV, driving a Toyota Land Cruiser 230.02 MPH at Mojave Air and Space Port in Mojave, California. Needless to say, Mom can't buy this heavily modified grocery-getter and soccer team hauler at the local Toyota dealer.
- TV ratings - 3.5 final rating and 5.9 million viewers on FOX Sunday afternoon, down 13% in ratings and 11% in viewership from last year (4.0, 6.7M) and down 13% and 7% respectively from 2015 (4.0, 6.3M). So SOS.
