ski pole mounting hardware

I just picked up a little checkmate and it came with a ski pylon. the two supports in back use what i would call a ball clasp. the sticker on the pole is old but seems to read "ski-par". the problem i have is one of the balls in back has the thread wrecked on it and now I am stuck trying to find what probably is a 20 year old part. I am seconds away from hacking it off and trying to find a machine shop to fab one up. If anyone knows of what I might be looking for and where to find a pair that would be great.

The most common brand I see these days is Swivl-eze. I don't know if what you have looks similar to this. Doesn't look like they sell direct, but maybe they would help you with parts.
