I'm finding that for beginner wakeboarders especially, they can learn to get up easier if I don't floor the throttle when taking off. I'm sure this could depend on the skier, boat, and engine setup. I have a Crownline 202 with the 5.0 carbed engine and a wake board tower. It has plenty of power to pull people up, but actually seems better for the skier at about 3/4 throttle for take offs. The more powerfull boats we've been towed with almost seem to pull so hard they put additional strain on your body. Any thoughts?
