I'm considering purchasing a 3 light bar. We occasionally play on the water until it gets dark, i'm wondering how many people actually use their lights? Or should I save the money and put it towards something else?

Do it, but get the 5 light bar ... it looks awesome even if it is only a show piece .... it adds at least an hour to your wakeboarding when it gets dark

In many states its illegal to tow after sunset. I couldn't justify the price for just cruising.

They are great and look really cool, but it is illegal to tow after sunset. Great way to get pulled over by DNR

They look cool and thats about it. Save your money for a new board or a couple tanks of fuel.

I have a couple installed. Forward facing.
I use them approaching the trailer in the evenings -- which is once, maybe twice a yr.
More than anything I just think they look cool.

They're good for lighting up your boat and maybe loading on the trailer at night. I think the clutter up a tower and add more wires in your boat. I would never ski at night with them - seems like Darwin might try to cull part of the herd if you do. ; )

Thanks for the replies everyone. I decided to pass on the lights for now.
