Re-attach kneeboard pad -- what glue?

I need to re-attach my old hydroslide's foam pad. What adhesive is best for this?

Thanks! That site and your pic inspired me. Damn near rode out a roll/flip yesterday. Unless this old body gets hurt, I am determined to ride one out by the end of the Labor Day weekend.

I use weldwood contact cement for installing foam outfitting in my whitewater kayaks. It would probably work fine for the foam pad on a kneeboard.

I got one all the way around and landed and kept going on the water ...... but ...... I did not hold onto the handle. So, yes and no. Then the darn tropical storm Lee came in and we pulled the boat off the water with a lake house still rented for a day and a half. We lost most of Sunday and all day Monday on the water.
