Wakeboarding with center console

I am going in on a boat with a friend. He wants a boat he can wakeboard and ski from. I want a boat I can fish from. Obviously these are two different animals. What can I do with a center console 4 stroke outboard that will allow him to ski behind the boat with similar enjoyment of a jet boat? Are there any attachments that I can purchase? Is the power of a 5.7L V8 make that big of a difference from a 4 stroke 150 single outboard? Any advice greatly appreciated.

you can wake board from behind many boats
you can fish from any boat

skiing......will depend on the boat to a bit

and yes, the 300+hp (260hp at prop) is much more power than 150hp

if you want to ski behind a fishing boat with an outboard, the wake will suck

if you want to fish from a ski boat, have at it

you may want to look into dual council boats. back in the 70's many were called Fish-n-ski for a reason.

there is nothing to add to the boat as an attachment to make the wake not suck for skiing. its a hull shape thing.
