I have a homade 12' Jon boat, has anybody used a trailer from harbor freight, for a boat trailer. I don't want to buy a new trailer and I can't find a decent used one. Thanks
My .02. HF and Northern Tool little trailers are fine, but either plan on double nutting or tack welding the fasteners since the little bolt together trailers tend to vibrate their fasteners off.
If you don't have a welder setup, simply remove the standard nuts and buy a package or two of nylon lock nuts. That way you can still remove them in the need ever surfaces... I used a little trailer from K-mart decades ago for a 12' Feather Craft "V" bottom boat and it worked great. So yea, go for the HF or Tractor Supply or even Northern Tool trailer and happy boating... :thumb:
