Wondering if anyone can shed some light on this subject. My trailer has two bunks toward the rear and 6 rollers down the center towards the front. Currently its a mix of two different styles. They are all beat and need replacement. I have attached a pic of one of them. The other is a much deeper V style. Which is better or do they serve two different functions?

Doesn't really matter....

Get self centering keel rollers if you want a huge improvement

The roller in your picture is called a spool roller some just call it a keel roller..
Advise, don't buy the cheap ones, they don't last. Try to find the Yates rollers as they have a steel sleeve and do not distort like the cheap ones.

Thanks guys!

Looks like the rollers have the wrong bore for the bolt size too. I am sure that didn't help them turn easily.
5/8 bore and 1/2 bolt.
I think I will replace them all with a deeper V design.

Trust me I've already tried that with my Lund and I didn't gain anything. If you want to try and center the boat then get the rollers smoke suggested.

I'd base my choice on the keel profile of the boat.
