2001 dodge 4x4 trailer lighting issues

I have no power going to my trailer light connector on my truck. I could not locate the fuse/breaker for it.Its a original factory installed hitch.

Are you checking voltage with a meter or by plugging in the trailer?

Check under the hood, there's probably a 40 amp green fuse under a cover.

My '96 Dodge had a fuse back under the bumper and a relay. I'm pretty sure the factory set-up taps power from the 12v + feed at the socket. It switches it thru a relay powered by the running lights. This way the running lights of your trailer aren't being tapped onto the running light circuit of the truck. You may have blown that fuse or the relay may be bad.

40 amp Fuse #8 in the power distribution center looks like it could be the culprit, or the trailer tow relay which is also in the PDC
