My trailer is 25' long and there is 5' from the bow stop to the tip of the tongue. I looked at pictures of 24' trackers online and they all have the back of the pontoons even with the bunks.

Sounds like your trailer is set up for my sized boat but a hair longer.

I just found a video on youtube the has my same boat sitting on the same trailer and my same year. So I guess TRACKER sold them this way.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=amXFUb1_0QM

Interesting that trailer has some sort of car wheels on it and still has the snowmobile trailer sized spare on it.

Not sure what the purpose of the video was - what a boat looks like when nobody takes care of it?

We've got a Fishin Barge (21 ft), but it came on a properly sized tandem scissor trailer.

The purpose was to show my boat hangs off the trailer the same as this one.

Show us a picture of yours sitting on the trailer.

Sounds like you need to move your bow stop forward.

I wish I could but my boat is temporarily sitting at the lake in Tennesse and my trailer is at home in Georgia. There is now way to move the stop forward. It is all the way up. Mine looks and sits exactly like that one in the video on my trailer.

That just means that you have found TWO boats that don't have enough trailer under them.

Your trailer IS too small for your boat.... it IS NOT long enough... YES you should stop now and sell that trailer and find one that fits your boat.

No Title

Hello everyone. I wanted to give an update on my trailer. I just got back from my 1st long trip of 300+ miles and no problems. Here is what I ended up doing.

1. Removed the 3500 lbs single axle and replaced with tandem 3500 lb axles.

2. Used 6x6 angle iron to mount the axles which allows adjustment like original setup. Also Stiffened up the trailer.

3. New Bearing and Bearing buddies all the way around.

4. New 15 inch Maxxius Trailer tires.

5. 10 inch Electric Brakes on the front axles. ( I use in Fresh Water Only)

6. New Bunk Boards and Carpet.

7. New Bunk Stop which allowed me to move the boat up roughly 10 inches to fit better on the trailer and all fix the tongue weight problem.

So far so good. The only issue I had is on real shallow ramps I have to back the truck down a littler deeper than before but on step ramps everything if fine. I think the boat actually raised up about 6 inches higher than before. I am going to add some loading guides in the future. Overall I am pretty happy.

Normally, you want the brakes on the rear axle.

Also, you already have loading guides. I can see them in your picture

Thanks. I am talking outside loading guides. Never heard that on the brakes but will check it out. Thanks.

The inside load guides do the same thing. All the load guides on pontoon are normally on the inside

I agree but on steep ramps the inside back guides are not tall enough to do anything. That why I like the outside PVC guides.
