Previous owner had it trailered with bow eye under the bow stop. Is that correct or should it be on top of the stop?

Thanks?

bow eye should be under bow chock. This locks the bow to the winch stand and stops the bow from bouncing and banging on the bow stop while trailering down the road.

Under. Helps keep boat from riding up under a panic stop. Just one of the little things to help keep things safer.

+1 on under. I see lots of new boats with two bow eyes, one for the strap and a lower one for the safety chains, but they're still always below the stop.
