Hi Gang. Newbie to the IBoat forums here.
Last week I bought a boat with a 1988 Shorelander 21 foot trailer, tandem axle, new tires and wheels... looked fine... but needs brakes reworked. It has drum brakes on the rear axle and badly rusted brake lines with a break so there is no fluid left. So, I just ordered a whole kit for new TieDown stainless disk brakes with rubber flexible lines and new coupler assembly... in other words the whole system.
While waiting for the parts... just thought I'd ask if there are any "common" problems with installation that I should prepare for. I'm planning to rip out all the old stuff and just go "new" for all the brakes and bearings and all that and use the existing axles.
Thanks.
