I just installed a new set of submersible lights on my trailer. I think they are the same brand as these.. http://www.iboats.com/Submersible-T...18702432--**********.972067758--view_id.49294

It is a 4 pin set up. The brake lights, and turn signals work fine. However, i cannot get the lights to work when my head lights are on. I re-set the ground on the trailer. Made sure all connections are solid...still nothing. Had neighbor hook his truck up to test and make sure it was not my vehicle causing the problem. Nothing doing. The trailer lights are the issue.

I did notice that there are 5 wires coming out of the trailers 4 pin connection. My old lights only had 4. Could this be the issue? I am almost ready to spen another 35 dollars and get another set of brand new lights but dont want to spend another hour and a half under my trailer.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Re: Tail lights not working on trailer

the five wires are most likely right turn, left turn two tails, and ground. white is ground

read THIS thread from last week for testing procedure.
