Hi trailer gurus,

I recently purchased a 14' Lowe boat on this tilt trailer. It's titled as Homemade, but that could be because a previous owner couldn't find a VIN or SN. It has characteristics of some Gator trailers I've seen on here, but I'm not sure. If it is, I'd be interested in knowing the (approximate) year. Anyone recognize this beast?

No leaf springs -- appears to be torsion bars.

Re: Trailer ID -- Gator? Year?

Not certain though I do believe Gator stopped using round tube in 1958 and started using C channel steel. Also all the Gators I've seen made of round tube the round tubing was used throughout the whole trailer. Then again every Gator trailer that I've seen also used leaf springs in the suspension.

The only thing I see on that trailer that may have been from a Gator is the round neck tube with the welded steel truss under it. Sure looks home built to me.
