Just letting others know that this works.
I needed a new wheel cylinder for my brakes because one of mine was leaking. No one around had them, but they could order them. I was planning on using the boat tomorrow so after some online research I decided to use the wheel cylinder from a Ford Aerostar because it uses 10" drums like my trailer and had just slightly more surface area for the plungers.
I bought them for $10 apiece and 2 extra forks for $3 each. They bolted in with no modification because the backing plate had the holes already drilled. It looks like the plates were drilled so they will work on anything. Only modification I needed was a slightly different bend on the brake lines.
Brakes work great again, it was a lot cheaper than ordering the trailer ones on line, and any auto parts store carries these.
I don't think the brake shoes for the Aerostar would work because they are 2.5" wide instead of 2.25". A 1965 Mustang has an option for 10x2.25 shoes, but they didn't have any in stock, and mine are good for now.
