VIN on shorelander trailer

I recently aqcuired a 1987 Four Winns Horizon 170 on a Shorelander trailer. The boat and trailer never left the lake house property where it was located so the trailer never had been registered. I cannot locate a title for the trailer...not even sure if there is titles for a trailer like a car or boat.

But I went to get the VIN off of the sticker located on the trailer and it is blank. Is there any other spots on the trailer that I am missing for a VIN, maybe pressed into the metal somewhere?

I am thinking since I don't have a VIN or a title, I am going to have to get it registered as a home-made trailer.

not around my trailer right now
but I think mine has the vin # on the front with the capacity rating and also have a stiker on the back right of it.

Sounds good.

When I get back into town I will go over the trailer with a fine tooth comb and see what I can come up with.
