i recieved a boat from my father he had an old lund he gave me his trailer and a 16' sylvan, the boat is a little wider than the 16' lund, and a little heavier, will this trailer haul the sylvan, the title on the trialer says 1,000 lbs. i have a pic of the boat on the trailer, the trailer needs adjusting, but if it wont pull it i need another trailer

Howdy, ckremer.

I take it your Sylvan is an aluminum semi-vee, and I think a 1,000# trailer will handle it if it is not packed with too much heavy gear.

Good luck. :)

You can take the rig to a public scale, truck stop, or recycling center and get it weighed. The trailer should have a capacity label on it somewhere, if not, contact the manufacturer.
