calkins trailer weight capacity

i recently purchased a 21 foot renken cuddy, sitting on a single axel 1980 calkins trailer. The nomenclature plate is gone from the trailer, how do i go about determing 2 things. 1. weight of trailer, and 2. capacity of trailer? Also as a side note, it doesnt appear to be enough of a trailer to hold this 1980 renken cuddy.

I'd have a trailer shop look at it. They should be able to make a value judgement by looking at the wall thickness of the frame and such.<br /><br />On that long of a boat, dual axles sure are nice. <br />I've had one that ran on a single axle once, it was miserable to tow compared to the tandem set up.
