EZ loader Trailer What Size Tire Go on This

I just picked up a nice trailer that needed a little bit if TLC. The rims and tire that were on the traile were a couple of car temporary tires. They are 16 inch but look way to big. i tried to find a serial number on the trailer but cant find any number or info on the trailer. I did find this on the axle 2700# C22628. I dont know if this is the serial number or not. What size of rim and and tire do I need for this trailer. I have come up with this but dont know if it is correct. 14x6 rim 5 lug with 4.5 lug spacing and the tire 205/75 r14c. Any help

I've seen EZ Loaders with 14" and 15". My old EZ Loader had the same size you mentioned. It was for a 14 to 16 ft. boat

you have a 2700# axle. The axle, springs and tire size determine the maximum load the trailer can carry. So you can assume the axle and springs are capable of handling a 2700# load. Therefore, the third link in the chain is tires and installing tires that are excessively over capacity is a waste of money. ST175-80R13 Load Range C tires (6 ply rating) have a capacity of 1360# each. That provides 2720# load capacity at 50 PSI and is the minimum size for your trailer. There is no need to go to 15 inch tires but 14 inch is an option. In comparison I have 10 inch tires on my pontoon trailer but they are 10 ply rating, carry 90 PSI and have a combined load rating of over 3000#. So check the numbers and do the math.
