Hey Folks,

Some of you helped me out recently so I thought I'd try again. I've got an old Shoreline trailer. The rear two pivot bars were rusted and someone on this forum gave me a link to a website which has a suitable replacement. Thanks!

The next problem is that I realized that the rear crossbar is also badly rusted through. I've searched & searched various trailer parts websites and it seems as if mine is an odd length. It is 3" square, V shaped w/ a 4" drop at the center point. The length on a straight line is 53 1/2" from inside of main frame to inside of other main frame. My crossbar has a welded tab (on the top) which bolts through the main frame to the other side.

Any advice on how to get a suitable replacement crossbar which will fit this trailer? Are there any supply shops which can custom make one to fit? Any help?

Thanks

Most welding shops should be able to make a replacement. Take the old one and they should be able to duplicate it.
