We tow our 97 Sun Tracker Party Deck 21 with my 2016 Ram 2500 Laramie, I need to get a weight on the boat and trailer to see if it will be under my wife's 5200 lb tow limit on her crossover. Otherwise we have to rent a boat or not go out on the water when I am towing our camper.

Iboats says it's only 1350 pounds dry. Add trailer, gas and gear. Should be under 5200 no sweat.

I normally tow my 19' Sea Nymph with my 2010 Suburban 1500 LT 4x4. When we go camping and take the boat, my wife tows the boat with her 2010 GMC Canyon Z71 4x4 while I tow the travel trailer with the Suburban. Since both vehicles have the 5.3L V8 under the hood, neither one has any trouble at all with the boat. While the Canyon has plenty of power to tow the travel trailer, it is too light and has too short of a wheelbase to do it well.

I Pull my 17' Peterborough Bowrider with my '11 Ford Ranger Supercab. 4.0l V6 pulls anything I've thrown at it with no problems or sweat.

Turned in the 2016 Tundra CrewMax 4x4 w/TRD package on a 2017 4Runner Premium 4x4 w/3rd row....

Haven't towed with it yet but we have yet another kiddo on the way so we needed the extra seating. Should do OK as boat/trailer should come in around 4k (including gear, gas, batteries, etc) and this is rated to 5k. Won't be nearly as capable as the Tundra but it should do as its Body On Frame.

We'll see..it's the first time in 16 years I will not own a pickup.

Just my measly old little Ford Focus haha! But just invested in an eve older (but bigger, heavier and more powerful) Volvo for my towing needs. Either way, she's only a little 14 footer, so no worries really!

My tow rig was stolen Wednesday night so I'll be on the hunt for a new one here soon. Have to use my moms truck in the mean time I guess cause I don't think my Charger is going to do well pulling it out of the water lol.

Tow my 1999 Campion Allante 535i with a Volvo Penta 4.3L V6 with my 2003 Chevrolet S10 Crew Cab 4X4 and it does amazingly well (since I can haul 4,000 lbs and the trailer and boat full of gas and gears weighs around 3,400 lbs). No problem pulling the boat out of the water! Not to mention disc brakes all around.

Curious, what kind of fuel mileage are you getting with that setup?

using imperial gallons (as opposed to US gallons) I get 17-18 MPG which is not much lower than I get driving around the city (20 MPG)

Ouch. Touareg TDI is getting 29 imperial miles per gallon pulling the same boat. And has a 7700 lb towing cap. 42 imperial miles per gallon without towing.

i can pay for a Ton of gas by the time i would have paid for an expensive vehicle like a Touareg! so its not too bad

Jeez...the tourag in America must be different from the uk. No way a v6 tdi tourag would get 42 mpg over here. Not even on a hill
My old company pool car one, averaged about 26mpg and best on a run was about 32mpg

Towing the Campion Chase at gross 1650 kgs, BMW will manage about 40mpg on a run.
Land Rover about 25-2mpg from memory.

I installed a hitch on my 2011 Subaru Forester and have been pleasantly surprised with how easily it tows my 16' Lowe.
