I picked up a used 89 load star trailer over the weekend. Model number x21t3600. Does anyone know where to get a spec sheet on it. I?m trying to determine axel weight limits as well.

I collect marine related literature, so I probably have the right catalog. But I don't know whether to look at load star or load rite.

I?ve owned three....the last four numbers (3600) is the load rating. 21T = 19-21?
See the Loadrite website for specifics

Ayuh,.... Pull a hub, 'n measure the quill diameters,.....

The weight ratin' is directly related to that diameter,....

It is definitely a load rite trailer. My question what can I do to up the load capacity of the trailer. Is it as simple as getting bigger axels or is it tires, or is the frame not up to it. I?m new with trailers. My boat is about 5100 lbs

Ayuh,.... In my experience, trailers are built up to a spec,....

Everything is heavier duty for carryin' heavier loads,....

What's yer trailer rated for,..??

Its actually a 25 ft boat. Right now I?m just trying to use it to move the boat around due to winter coming in the northeast.

Even if you switched tires (15?) you would still likely have issues with the tongue weight. Trailer is too short to allow the axles to be moved to the boats center of gravity.

Not to mention the damage to the boat that could occur with 5-6 feet hang off the back of the trailer unsupported
