I have a green 80?s (I?m assuming) calkins boat trailer. It has very little rust, no rot that I have seen, and good lights. Can anyone give me some opinions on it. I don?t want to put new rollers into it if it?s a cheap trailer, or one that is known to be problematic. I want to say it around 17? the pic is the same as the one I have

A green Calkins is actually a mid 1970s trailer. In the late 70s they switched to a reddish paint.
What capacity is the trailer you have?
They were quite common in Northern Alberta during the mid to late 70s and early to mid 80s. They appeared to be solidly built, and could self adjust to fit a lot of boats/hulls. However due to the inability to reposition the rollers that support the transom they didn't fit some hulls well(Glastron's Aqualift II and flips). If the hull had a more consistent deadrise, they self adjusted very well.
