I?m installing marker lights but the wire on them are real short. I need to make them longer. What kind of wire do I use to make them longer so they will reach to the trailer wires?

Any stranded wire in the same gauge as the rest of your trailer wiring should be fine. Solder and heat shrink or get some of the crimp on butt splices that shrink and seal up when you heat them. Or roll the dice on future corrosion issues like I did and use regular butt splices wrapped in electrical tape...

I suggest tinned marine wire. And while you are at it, run individual ground wires all the way back to your connector

As to spliced connections, I use liquid electrical tape to seal the butt splice. Heatshrink also works. With the liquid electrical tape you don't have to have a heatgun, or remember to put the shrink on before you complete the splice :embarassed:
